Sun Phenomena called as "SUNDOG"

From the title, I guess that you have some question about SUNDOG, exactly what is SUNDOG ? Why this phenomena happen ? What is the causes ? Right, this is my question too at first I read this article. I will tell you What Is SUNDOG. SUNDOG is one of phenomena that happen in our atmosphere that can make light shining through ice crystals in the cloud _, much like light shining through raindrops makes a rainbow. A sundog on the right side of a halo around the sun.

Sundog is produced by refraction of sun's light rays through hexagonal ice crystals of cirrus clouds when the sun is at low elevation angle close to the horizon during sunrise or sunset. The phenomenon can be seen when there is no lower clouds blocking the view. Sundogs are luminous or bright spots appearing at approximately 22 degrees to the right and left of the sun at the same altitude in the sky.
