Shooting Star

I think you all know about this one. Do you believe with “FALLING STAR” ? I will talk about this one. Falling stars are small, solid bodies that enter the Earth’s atmosphere as they travel through space.  These stars are commonly called meteors. Meteors can enter the our atmosphere with a velocity that ranges from ten to seventy km/sec.  Consequently, the friction that is created is great enough to cause the meteor to begin burning up which produces the light that we refer to as a falling star.

When active comets collide with other comets or asteroids, they produce meteoroids, or small particle from comet or asteroids orbiting the Sun. If it survives its falls through the Earth's atmosphere, the object is termed as a meteorite. Shooting stars pass through Earth on several occasions. Sizable enough shooting stars can be seen passing through Earth on a clear night.
Many meteoroid are so minute that they cannot be seen with the naked eye and oftentimes vaporize before they can make a complete descend through Earth. Shooting stars are said to travel as fast as 100,000 miles per hour. High traveling speeds is what causes the meteor trail to glow. The surface of the meteoroid reaches a very high temperature - high enough to vaporize some of the atoms or molecules that are present on the meteoroid's surface. You can read about Shooting Star in the other website.
